Honda CBR250R successor confirmed for Indonesia and Japan.
The Honda CBR250RR that was unveiled last week in Indonesia isn’t currently planned to be launched in India, as per a new report from Overdrive. Mr. Yadvinder Guleria, Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing), HMSI, has confirmed to the publication that neither the Honda CBR250RR nor the Honda CBR300R will be launched in India.
Clarity is still awaited on that whether the CBR250RR and/or CBR300R have been permanently ruled out for India or are just not in the near-future plan. The slow-selling Honda CBR250R will continue being sold in India.
The Honda CBR250RR is built on a newly designed steel pipe truss frame, and measures 2,060 mm in length, 724 mm in width and 1,098 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 1,389 mm. The CBR250RR has a ground clearance of 145 mm and its seat height is 790 mm.
Powering the Honda CBR250RR, is a newly developed 249.7 cc PGM-FI liquid-cooled straight-twin engine that sends drive via a 6-speed transmission. The engine is operated by a Throttle-by-Wire (TBW) system that offers three selectable modes. Stopping power comes from 310 mm (front) and 240 mm (rear) disc brakes with optional ABS (both front and rear). Performances figures should be revealed closer to the market launch, which will happen in Indonesia by the end of 2016.
