Suzuki Motorcycle India showcased the 2016 Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive without ABS at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida. The company is studying its prospects in India.
The Burgman is powered by a 638 cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine with DOHC and Suzuki Fuel Injection, that is mated to SECVT (Suzuki Electronically-controlled Continuously Variable Transmission). The SECVT offers two fully automatic drive modes (Drive and Power) and a Manual Shift mode that can be operated by a handlebar-mounted rocker button.
The 2016 Burgman 650 measures 2,265 mm in length, 810 mm in width, 1,585 mm in wheelbase, 125 mm in ground clearance, 755 mm in seat height, around 278 kg in kerb weight and 15 litres in fuel tank capacity.
The scooter is equipped with a telescopic fork with oil damper and a coil spring, swingarm with oil damper and coil spring, twin disc brake upfront, single disc brake at the rear, 120/70-R15 M/C 56H tubeless front tyre and 160/60-R14 M/C 65H tubeless rear tyre.
The Burgman features electronically adjustable windscreen, power-folding rear view mirrors, heated handlebar grips, heated seats (front and rear), adjustable lumbar support for rider, backrest for pillion, a 50-litre under-seat compartment that can fit two full-face helmets, and a cable lock to secure a helmet outside.
