Expected to be launched in H2 2017.
The Tata Nexon has been spied testing by Autocar India forum member cars4life. The test mule in the images seems to be finished in the Tata Tiago's Sunburst Orange colour, but is fully camouflaged.
The production Tata Nexon has a full-body camouflage, but what's hidden beneath those sheets is no mystery, as the production version was presented at the Auto Expo 2016. Like the Tata Tiago and its upcoming sedan version, the Tata Kite5, the Tata Nexon bears the company's IMPACT design language.
The Tata Nexon is built on an updated version of Tata's X1 platform which supports the Tata Bolt and Tata Zest. The Tata Nexon will compete with the sub-4 metre SUVs like the Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport.

The Tata Nexon will be available in petrol and diesel models, with the latter powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine good for 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. The petrol model is said to pack a turbocharged version of the Tiago's 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine. The diesel model will be configurable with a 6-speed manual transmission and an automated manual transmission, while the petrol model could get the same options.
