Expected to launch in India next year.
Ford has unveiled the 2017 Ford EcoSport on November 14 in Los Angeles, ahead of its motor show debut at the LA Auto Show on November 18. Ford has confirmed that the EcoSport is one of four new SUVs that will be introduced in the next four years in the USA. The smallest crossover in Ford's portfolio will arrive in Q1 2018, slotting below the Ford Escape.
Compared to the model currently sold, the new EcoSport features a familiar face, but with slightly more aggressive details. The headlamps are bigger and house bolder LED DRLs and projector lamps, the foglamps look similar to that of the Ford Edge, and the trapezoidal grille is now sharper and has a new black plastic mesh design. Like the Euro-spec EcoSport, the U.S-spec model will not feature a tailgate-mounted spare wheel; instead gets a tire inflater kit.
However, the interior has been completely redesigned. The only familiar bits are the side-most HVAC vents and side hinged tailgate. It looks much cleaner and more premium than the outgoing model, featuring a new steering wheel, wider instrument cluster, new HVAC controls and optional contrasting color trim. It also adopts Ford's new SYNC3 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a premium B&O PLAY audio system (standard in Titanium).

As for engine lineup, the U.S-spec EcoSport will offer an option between a 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost or a 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit. Drivers opting for the latter will get Ford’s Intelligent 4WD as standard.
