Here is another rendering of the next generation Ford Ka, which could also be the successor for the Ford Figo. This, and the many previous renderings, are based on available spy shots of the camouflaged test mules which have been spotted in various parts of Brazil.
The current Ford sedans such as the Mondeo and the facelifted Fiesta sport an Aston Martin inspired grille. The Brazilian media think that this design identity could be seen on the Figo replacement as well. We also notice that the bonnet's design is familiar to that of the refreshed Fiesta with the Blue Oval placed ahead of it.
The new Ford hatchback, which goes by the codename Ford B562, seems to have an overall size matching that of an i20. Noticias Automotivas notes that the overall length would be about 3.8 to 3.9 meters. There are further rumors doing rounds that a compact sedan based on the B562 could also be offered.
Powering the B562 would be the 1.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, a naturally aspirated petrol engine and a DuraTorq diesel engine. The exact specifications are unavailable at this time.
Brazilian analysts predict that the B562 would enter production in their country in the middle of next year. We expect to see the B562 enter India sometime in 2016-17.
