The special discount aims to boost sales during the high demand festive season. The company’s current India portfolio comprises models like F3 800 range, Brutale 800 series and the recently launched Turismo Veloce 800. The sports tourer was launched at an ex-showroom (India) price tag of INR 18.99 lakh. The 798 cc inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes with a counter-rotating crankshaft on the Turismo Veloce 800 pumps out 110 hp of max power at 10,150 rpm and 81 Nm of peak torque at 7,100 rpm.
The company reportedly plans to expand the Brutale 800 line up with the launch of the Dragster 800 and the Dragster 800 Pirelli edition. The launch details for the two models are yet to be announced.
In other updates, MV Agusta has signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement China’s Loncin Motor to introduce new products in the 350-500 cc segment. The upcoming products will target Asian markets, including India, and compete BMW Motorrad's models co-developed with TVS Motor Company, the upcoming Triumph-Bajaj motorcycles and the budget Harley-Davidson models. The new range will debut by the end of 2021.
The Italian company will develop four bikes in the 350-500 cc segment while the Chinese company will handle the manufacturing process. While the details are limited at the moment, the new products could arrive in the naked roadster, sports and sports-touring categories. MV Agusta may try to attract attention by using the existing brand names – F-series (sport), Brutale (roadster) and Turismo (Tourer) – for the lower displacement models. The entry-level models could use a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-Valve motor with fuel-injection tech.
Despite the lower displacement placement, the upcoming range is expected to carry a premium feature list such. Expect the mechanical specifications to include inverted telescopic front forks, adjustable monoshock at the back, full LED lighting, digital instrument console (maybe with Bluetooth function) and disc brakes on both the wheels with a dual-channel ABS.
