Regular readers would know that the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR America (limited to five units in India/200 worldwide) has already been launched at an ex-showroom price tag of INR 18.73 lakh*, which is approximately INR 30,000 less than the standard model. We expect the MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR Pirelli Edition to arrive close to the same price tag.

The Dragster 800 RR Pirelli Edition comes with different paint schemes and graphics. Internationally, it is sold in two colour options – Ice Pearl White & America Blue and Matte Black & Pirelli Yellow.

Like the standard Dragster 800 RR, the Dragster 800 RR Pirelli Edition features tubeless tyre compatible wire-spoke wheels. It comes with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres. The stylish, three-pod exhaust canister and the exposed trellis frame make it look more appealing. The rear tyre-hugger mounted number plate and blinkers give a clean look to the tail section.

The mechanical specifications on the Dragster 800 RR include the same 798 cc inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that delivers a healthy 140 hp of max power at 12,300 rpm and 8.87 kg.m (87 Nm) of peak torque at 10,100 rpm. The motor redlines at 13,200 rpm, while the maximum speed is rated at 244 km/h. The motorcycle will arrive with BS-IV compliance.

The electronics package comprises ride-by-wire throttle, Bosch 9 PLUS ABS with Rear Wheel Lift-up Mitigation, eight-level traction control and an immobiliser with key recognition. The gearbox benefits from hydraulic slipper clutch and quickshifter (up and down). Hardware specifications comprise Marzocchi sourced 43 mm upside-down telescopic front forks, a Sachs rear monoshock, 320 mm twin discs at the front and a 220 mm single disc at the back. The braking setup uses Brembo sourced callipers (radially-mounted 4-piston at the front and twin-piston at the back).
