The Bajaj Dominar 400 gets premium features like a slipper clutch and LED headlamps.
Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, revealed to Money Control that a lot more action will unfold in the INR 1 lakh+ price bracket.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 is the most expensive and most powerful Bajaj badged mill yet. The bike’s engine traces its origins to the KTM Duke 390 and produces 35 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque.
Mr Bajaj said
We would like to introduce more and more products in the Dominar range, in the Rs 1-2 lakh price range. We have some very active plans for this and in the next 2-3 months we should be able to make some important announcement on this.
However, he went on to add that the new launches may be under the Dominar brand or KTM or even a new badge. The Bajaj Dominar 400’s frame is highly versatile and can be used for various purposes like an adventure tourer or maybe even a cafe racer. At the launch, Bajaj said variants of the Dominar platform were possible but refused to speak about it.
