The Maruti SX4 replacement codenamed Maruti YL1 is making headlines everyday this month. We have brought you all the updates on its design, dashboard and possible powertrain options. And here is a new piece of information about the upcoming C Segment sedan that has emerged on Team-BHP.com.
Team-bhp.com has posted a spyshot of the SX4 replacement showing the rear bench. In order to keep up with its rivals like the VW Vento, Skoda Rapid and Nissan Sunny, Maruti has equipped the new sedan with rear AC vents.
The beige theme is carried over throughout the cabin which is another noticeable change over the current SX4. We also expect a considerable improvement in the rear legroom. Even though the new SX4 employs some interior parts that can be traced back to its less expensive siblings like the Swift and the Ertiga, it has to be said that the cabin emerges as a much better place to be than the current model.

The Maruti YL1 is most likely to retain the 1.3 litre MultiJet (DDIS in Maruti lingo) as its diesel engine of choice while the petrol option could be the new 1.4 litre K-Series engine that debuted in the Ertiga.
If the dimensions, interior and features are stitched together, the new SX4 looks set to move upmarket. We are expecting to get a first look of the car at 2014 Auto Expo next February.
While the current Maruti SX4 is going nowhere despite the recent facelift, Maruti would bet big on its replacement to make inroads in the C Segment.
