Likely to borrow the 110 cc mill from the Centuro.
The firm's first 110 cc automatic scooter will be pitted against the likes of TVS Jupiter, Yamaha Alpha, Honda Activa i and Suzuki Let's. Seen here are spyshots from Bikewale.com, showing a black and a white example of the Mahindra Zesto.
The side body decal is a feature that was not visible on previous spyshots. The vehicles that are spotted lack any definitive branding decal or badge to confirm its name.
The 110 cc engine is expected to be borrowed from the Centuro commuter but would be paired to a continuously varying transmission (CVT). In its existing state of tune, the motor generates 8.5 PS (8.38 bhp) and 8.5 Nm of torque.
Mahindra 2 Wheelers is known to launch its products with an aggressive price tag and the same is expected with the latest scooter. The automatic scooter segment in India is growing at a rapid pace. Last year, the scooters occupied about 25% of the massive Indian two-wheeler market and the tally is expected to further tilt towards the gearless commuters in the years to come.
Competitors: Honda Activa i, TVS Wego and Jupiter, Suzuki Let’s
Expected Price: INR 40,000 to 45,000, ex-showroom
Launch date: By end of this year
