Mahindra XUV300 AMT starts arriving at dealerships [Video]

The Mahindra XUV300 AMT was spied during its TVC shoot recently, which suggested that the launch is just around the corner. Now, a video posted on YouTube channel AutoTrend TV has revealed that it has started reaching dealerships.

As per the previous reports, AMT option in the Mahindra XUV300 will be available in only the W6 and W8 grades. The unit featured in the video above is the higher W8 trim. The AMT is said to be a 6-speed unit made by Magnetti Marelli. It will be used as a temporary solution until Mahindra is ready to roll-out a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and the BS-VI upgrade in 2020.

Visually the AMT variant is differentiated with an 'autoSHIFT' badge at the tailgate. The rest of the looks and design elements remains untouched. The exterior features of the Mahindra XUV300 include projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED tail lights and dual-tone roof rails. While on the inside, it comes kitted with electric sunroof, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some of its main safety features include 7 airbags, four disc brakes, front parking sensors and ESP with Roll-over Mitigation.

In the current state, the SUV derives power from a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 81 kW (110 PS) at 5,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 2,000-3,500 rpm, this comes paired with a 6-speed manual as standard. The other engine option is a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine which delivers 85.5 kW (115 PS) at 3,750 rpm and 300 Nm of torque at 1,500-2,500 rpm, and comes with the same 6-speed manual transmission.

In terms of pricing, expect the Mahindra XUV300 AMT to cost INR 50,000 more compared to the manual variant, which is priced between INR 7,90,000-11,99,000*. The launch is said to take place later this month.
