Has been 5 years since Mahindra showcased the Mojo concept.
Mahindra Two Wheelers has been delaying the launch of its flagship motorcycle the, Mahindra Mojo, since its showcase at the Auto Expo 2014, where the production specification premiered.
IndianCarsBikes now reports that the manufacturer, after doing several thousand miles of test runs by its in-house riders, has given the upcoming bike to a few prospective customers in order to get their feedback and suggestions.
These trial runs that have been undertaken are not for a brief period of time. This exercise is probably the first of its kind undertaken by an Indian manufacturer, where prospective customers have ridden the motorcycle up to Khardungla which boasts of the highest motorable road in the world.
It also signifies the effort that Mahindra is taking to get the product right in the very first instance. The performance tourer has already been spotted at various parts of the country, being tested in possibly every condition that India can throw at a motorcycle.
The Mojo will be powered by a single cylinder, liquid-cooled 295 cc engine that was initially thought to produce 26.6 bhp and 25 Nm of torque. A report later claimed that the power figure had been uprated to 31.2 bhp. A six-speed gearbox is paired to the engine.
