To be launched in the coming weeks.
A camouflaged prototype of the Mahindra KUV100 (Mahindra S101) has been snapped on test in Pune again, by Indian Hoods. The car appears to be in its production guise.
The Mahindra S101 which is reported to be named the Mahindra KUV100, is a six-seater (two bench seats) that will be positioned in the B-segment. It will compete with the Maruti Wagon R, the Chevrolet Beat and the upcoming Tata Zica, at an anticipated price range of INR 4-6 lakhs (ex-showroom).
It will be offered in petrol and diesel versions, both of which are believed to be powered by all-new three-cylinder 1.2-litre engines, producing less than 90 hp of peak power. Both versions will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard, while one of them at the least gets a five-speed AMT variant too.

The Mahindra KUV100 is expected to have basic safety features such as dual airbags and ABS with EBD. Like on other Mahindras, the KUV100 could offer safety features optionally on every trim level.
