1. Toyota Innova Crysta
The Toyota Innova Crysta was launched earlier this month with prices ranging from INR 13.83 lakhs to INR 20.77 lakhs, ex-Showroom, Mumbai. The second generation Innova is offered with two engine choices, and for the first time in India, gets an automatic transmission too.
2. 2016 Honda Dio
The 2016 model year Honda Dio was launched on May 3 featuring a new color option, a 3D emblem and no change to the pricing. It continues to offer the 110 cc engine paired to the V-matic transmission.
3. Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder
The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder was launched in Mumbai yesterday at INR 3.89 crores, ex-Showroom, Mumbai. The open-top Huracán continues to offer the 5.2-liter V10 that develops 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque.
4. Honda BR-V
Honda's crossover, the Honda BR-V, was also launched yesterday with prices ranging from INR 8.75 lakhs to INR 12.9 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. It is available with 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engines, and sports a three-row 7-seat configuration.
5. Datsun redi-GO
Bookings for the Datsun redi-GO started this month, with the booking amount being INR 5,000. The market launch is expected to take place on June 1, 2016 with the company having confirmed prices to range between INR 2.5-3.5 lakhs, ex-Showroom.
6. Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
Several reports state that the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is priced at INR 12.49 lakhs, ex-Showroom, and that bookings are underway for the premium pickup. It is the first product to roll out of Isuzu's all-new plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
7. VW Ameo
VW India has confirmed that bookings for the VW Ameo will start on May 12, 2016 and has hinted that a launch may take place in the month of July 2016. The compact sedan will be powered by 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines.
8. Mahindra TUV300 mHawk100
According to a report, the more powerful Mahindra TUV300 mHawk100 will have its market launch on May 12. It will be powered by the 1.5-liter diesel engine, but power and torque outputs are expected to increase to 100 hp and 240 Nm respectively.
9. Maruti Swift Limited Edition
Maruti has announced a limited edition on the Swift, which is expected to launch in the coming weeks. The carmaker is currently conducting a contest wherein social media users can suggest a name for the limited edition model.
10. MV Agusta operations commencement
MV Agusta will start its Indian operations on May 9. Bookings have been open for the MV Agusta F4 (INR 25.78 lakhs), MV Agusta Brutale 1090 (INR 17.99 lakhs) and MV Agusta F3 800 (INR 15.99 lakhs) since November last year.
11. Mercedes GLS
The Mercedes GLS, or basically the GL facelift, will have its market launch on May 18. The updated SUV will continue to be assembled at the carmaker's plant in Pune, Maharashtra. Keeping inline with the company's other offerings, the GLS will offer LED headlights as a standard fitment.
12. Maruti Alto 800 facelift
The Alto 800 facelift is expected to launch in the coming days. Dealer deliveries of the car are underway.
13. Hyundai Xcent Special Edition/Hyundai Grand i10 Special Edition
Hyundai will introduce a special edition on the Xcent and Grand i10 this month. The special edition adds body graphics, spoiler, a touchscreen entertainment system and a chrome finished grille.
