No change in pricing over the 2015 model year.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) today launched the 2016 Honda Dio at INR 48,264, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. The price, the manufacturer says, is the same as the outgoing 2015 model year.
Launched in the year 2002, HMSI has sold over a million units of the scooter apart from exporting it to markets in Latin America (Colombia), South America (Mexico) and neighboring nations (Sri Lanka and Nepal). The Dio is HMSI’s top export model with more countries set to receive the 110 cc offering in the near future.
The 2016 Honda Dio is now available in a new Matt Axis Grey color, and features a new 3D emblem. It continues to be powered by the tried-and-tested 109.2 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine capable of 8 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 8.77 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm paired to a V-Matic transmission. The scooter claims a top-speed of 83 km/h.
Besides the new Matte Axis Grey color, the Dio is also available in 4 existing colors – Jazzy Blue Metallic, Candy Palm Green, Sports Red and Black.
HMSI’s scooter portfolio ranges from the new Dio, Activa i, Activa 3G, Aviator, Activa 125 and the recently-launched Honda Navi. The Japanese maker continues to retain the leadership position in the scooter market.
