Expected to launch in the coming days.
Maruti-Suzuki, via its Twitter handle for the Maruti Swift, has announced that a limited edition on the hatchback is on the cards. The carmaker is looking to its social media followers for suggestion of a name for the limited edition Swift. Maruti says that the limited edition Swift will be 'Stylish, Edgy, Sporty'.
In all likelihood, the carmaker could introduce the Swift showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. The showcase car featured a bodykit, black alloy wheels, white racing stripes and the number '10' on the front doors, white wing mirror covers and a rear spoiler.
Inside, the Swift limited edition featured faux-leather seats with red and white inserts, red stitching for the gearknob, a leather wrapped steering wheel, aluminium pedals, red inserts on the dashboard and door trim, an armrest at the front and a touchscreen entertainment system.
However, Maruti will not be making any performance changes to the Swift limited edition. It will offer the hatchback with the 1.2-liter K-Series petrol and the 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

However, it remains to be seen in which variant the Swift limited edition is launched. The carmaker generally chooses the mid-level VXi/VDi grades for its special edition offerings.
