The Datsun GO range in South Africa has seen the addition of a limited-edition ‘Flash’ model. The Datsun GO Flash features special styling and additional equipment.
The Datsun GO Flash’s exterior gets a special look with bespoke hood, roof and body graphics and a silver exhaust finisher. It is fitted with customised mud flaps as well. Only two exterior colour choices are available: White and Grey.
Inside, while the regular Datsun GO features a mobile docking station, the Datsun GO Flash has a music system with Bluetooth, Aux-in and USB. It has contrasting silver accents and a parcel shelf in the boot as well.
The same 1.2-litre petrol engine powers the Datsun GO Flash. The naturally aspirated three-cylinder mill produces 50 kW (68 PS) at 5,000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission sends drive to the front wheels. The fuel economy and CO2 emissions rating are 19.23 km/l (5.2 L/100 km) and 123 g/km respectively.
The Datsun GO Flash is priced at R1,35,900 (INR 7,25,342.09), R3,000 (INR 16,011.97) higher than regular Datsun GO. In related news, the facelifted Datsun GO was launched in Indonesia this week. The new model could go on sale in India, South Africa and other markets later this year.
