Update - Atul Yadav has spotted the same test vehicle in Gurugram this last week. The Compass has been revealed in Brazil, USA and China, and will be made in India from mid-2017 for local and RHD export markets.

Will be Jeep's first product to be manufactured in India.
A pre-production Jeep Compass with a full camouflage body wrap was spied testing on the highway by IAB reader, Ankit Dehar. The Compass is expected to launch in India in mid-2017.
The Jeep Compass is the company's newest mid-size SUV positioned just above the Jeep Renegade. Currently on sale in Brazil, the Compass is priced BRL 99,990 and BRL 149,990 (INR 20.29 Lakhs – INR 30.72 Lakhs), and is now one of the top 20 best-selling vehicles in the market. Jeep India hopes to mirror (if not better) this achievement with the Jeep Compass, the company's first product to be manufactured in India, at the Tata-FCA manufacturing facility in Ranjangaon, Maharastra.
The Compass measures 4,416 mm long, 1,819 mm wide, 1,645 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,636 mm. It slots into the segment that comprises of the Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson and the upcoming VW Tiguan. Thanks to local production, prices the 2017 Jeep Compass could start from under 30 Lakhs.

It is reported to launch in both petrol and diesel variants. A 1.4L Multiair turbocharged engine is tipped to power the petrol variant, while the diesel variant will pack a 2.0L Multijet II turbodiesel 4-cyl unit. A 6-speed manual or 9-speed AT could be the Compass diesel's transmission options, along with Jeep’s Active Drive 4×4 system as an exclusive option.
