No plans for production.
IAB reader, Tarun Samuel, has sent across two imaginative renderings of the Honda Amaze 'Type R' variant, designed along the lines of the tenth gen Honda Civic Type R. Note that Honda has no plans of putting an Amaze Type-R into production.
The Amaze incorporates a Type R body kit that transforms the look of what is otherwise a sedate compact family sedan. It features a new bumper with gaping intakes, gloss black grille, projector headlamps and LED DRLs, bumper extensions with aero elements, large alloy rims with red accents shod with low profile tires, side skirts, Civic Type R-inspired rear wing, faux diffuser and a quartet of chrome finished exhaust pipes.
If we were to pick an engine for the Amaze Type R, it would be the performance version of the 1.5-liter VTEC TURBO four-cylinder petrol engine from the Honda Civic Si, which produces 174 hp at 6,000 rpm and 162 lb.-ft. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
