A purely imaginative rendering.
Although the Tata Kite 5 is essentially a Tata Tiago with a stubby boot, IAB reader Tarun Samuel couldn't help but wonder what the Tata Kite 5 would look like as a hatchback.
Sure, a Tiago would give you a pretty good idea of what it would appear like, but the rendering gives us another design of the rear-end that integrates the wraparound taillights, chrome bar and C-pillar design from the Kite 5. Aside from the body kit and large rims, it looks like a B-segment premium hatchback that would rival the Hyundai i20, VW Polo and Maruti Baleno.
As for the Tata Kite 5, the sub-4m sedan is expected to launch during the Dussehra-Diwali period (September-November period). It could be the least expensive sedan in India, if priced along the lines of the Tata Tiago. The Kite 5 is confirmed to offer a class-leading boot capacity of 420 liters.

Engine lineup will include the all new 1.2L three cylinder Revotron engine and 1.05L Revotorq diesel engine sourced from the Tiago. While a 5-speed manual will be fitted as standard, an AMT option is also in the works for both the Kite 5 and Tiago.
