Hero MotoCorp Passion Pro TR was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo.
Hero MotorCorp continues pruning its product line-up and has removed the Hero Passion Pro TR, Hero Passion XPro, Hero Ignitor and Hero Karizma from the official Indian website. The Hero Karizma ZMR evades the mass slaughter.
The Hero Passion Pro TR was aimed at the broken road users for which Hero put on on-off road tyres, headlamp protector grille and a raised front fender. The fuel tank too got additional grips. The bike also had a bash plate below the engine, knuckle guards and a crossbar mounted handlebar. It was powered by the 97.2 cc mill producing 7.8 PS of power and 8.04 Nm of torque.

Another Hero Passion variant to be discontinued is the Hero Passion XPro which had the 110 cc mill by Honda. This powertrain now does duty in the Honda Dream Series (Neo, Yuga, and CD110) and Honda Livo. The Hero Ignitor, which was essentially Hero’s take on the now discontinued Honda Stunner, has also been shown the door.
The axing of the naked Hero Karizma and retention of Hero Karizma ZMR is a big surprise. Both motorcycles had not been upgraded to meet the new BSIV emissions norms. An update for the Hero Karizma brand is on the cards.
