Hero MotoCorp is moving further away from the royalty-laden Honda technology.

Hero MotoCorp has removed the Hero Xtreme and Hero Hunk from the Indian website. The manufacturer had earlier this month axed the Hero HF Dawn, Hero Splendor iSmart & Hero Splendor Pro Classic.

New Hero Xtreme side
The 149.2 cc mill in the Hero Xtreme produced 14.4 bhp of power and 12.8 Nm of torque.

Hero now retails just two products in the 150 cc segment in India - the new Hero Achiever and the Hero Xtreme Sports. The Achiever was launched in September 2016 and the Hero Xtreme Sports is the more premium offering.

The 149.2 cc mill in the Hero Xtreme Sports is sourced from Honda. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox the engine is capable of producing 15.6 bhp of power and 13.50 Nm of torque. The Hero Hunk was last updated in December 2015 and the output was increased to be at par with the Xtreme Sports.

The standard Hero Xtreme had a reduced output of 14.4 bhp and 12.8 Nm and came with an under seat USB charging socket.

2016 Hero Hunk (facelift) side
The Hero Hunk's output was made at par with the Hero Xtreme Sports in December 2015.

Hero MotoCorp will be launching 6 new products by March 31, 2018, which may include new 150 cc motorcycles and premium scooters.
