Hero MotoCorp has been restructuring its product portfolio and discontinued several models.
A report in Economic Times claims that keeping in mind the festive rush, Hero MotoCorp will be launching two new products by September 2017. Following these, the Hero Xtreme 200S will arrive early next year, possibly at the 2018 Auto Expo.
Hero MotoCorp's business model is built on volume-centric commuter motorcycles. This has made them the country’s largest motorcycle seller, retailing more than 6 lakh units (633,884 units in May 2017) in a single month. Significant investments in research and development (at the Jaipur based CiT) has yielded fruits in drifting further away from royalty-laden Honda technology, with the all-new Glamour SV an example.

Hero MotoCorp sold 6,663,903 two-wheelers between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017, their best ever sales figures in a single financial year.
