The Xtreme S has 18.6 PS and 17.2 Nm in store.
Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the Hero Xtreme 200 S and the Hero Duet-E at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida. The former is essentially a 200 cc version of the existing Hero Xtreme (150) but with additional features like monoshock suspension and ABS.
Hero Xtreme 200 S
The Hero Xtreme 200 S has a mono halogen headlamp with twin LED pilot lights, a bikini fairing, a contrast-coloured front mud guard, fuel tank with shrouds that have air intakes, engine cowl, coloured inner mud guard at the rear tyre, dual tone seat, split grab rail, long exhaust can with silver cover, LED tail lamp and an analog-digital instrument console.
The new Xtreme is based on a diamond-frame chassis and features a regular fork, monoshock rear suspension, and disc brakes at the front and rear. The motorcycle is equipped with ABS, and is powered by a 200 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is tuned to produce 18.6 PS at 8,500 rpm and 17.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm, mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Hero Duet-E
As a part of the Greenovation vision of Hero MotoCorp, the company has unveiled a pure electric variant of the Hero Duet scooter and named it the Hero Duet-E. It has been developed by the company's in-house R&D team, and is powered by a 5 KV electric motor.
