Bajaj has not confirmed the Bajaj Dominar 400 Adventure Edition.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 is rendered as an adventure tourer by design specialist Shoeb Kalania. Bajaj Auto can build on the versatility of the Dominar's chassis and spawn multiple types of motorcycles in the future.
The perimeter frame’s origin is traced back to the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. The frame though has been strengthened to accommodate the more powerful and torquey engine. Apart from extra torsional rigidity and lateral strength, the frame also helps in giving the bike a low centre of gravity.
The powertrain in the Bajaj Dominar 400 has been tuned to be a city slicker as well as a highway muncher which will make it a great mill for an adventure tourer as well. Bajaj is known to utilise platforms for economies of scale, the Pulsar AS200, RS 200 and 200NS being the living example of the strategy.
The 373.3 cc mill produces 35 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. However, that is not all; the engine produces up to 28 Nm of torque at just 3,000 rpm.

An adventure tourer will help Bajaj Auto widen the target audience of the Bajaj Dominar 400. Apart from a top box, the motorcycle can also get saddlebags which will give the rider more luggage space. LED headlamps with AHO is standard in the Bajaj Dominar 400 and will be a great offering for night rides.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 has a claimed top speed of 148 km/h and can hit 100 km/h from standstill in 8.23 seconds.
