Festive season offers aim to boost sales during the high demand period. The offers will also help manufacturers clear their BS-IV compliant stock before they start rolling out the BS-VI models. Brands like Yamaha and TVS will start introducing their respective BS-VI compliant motorcycles from as early as November this year.
The new offer will also provide some solace from the recent price hike. Bajaj Auto products got expensive by up to INR 10,001 in the new price revision. The 2019 Dominar 400 was the most affected by the increase as the ex-showroom tag now stands at INR 1,90,002* (vs 1,80,001* previously). The Pulsar Neon, too, received a steep increase of INR 4,000 and the motorcycle now retails at INR 75,200* (vs INR 71,200*). The newly launched Pulsar 125 remained unaffected by the price revision.

TVS Motor Company, on the other hand, has opted for special edition models of its existing products to boost the sales during the festive season. The company has launched as many as five special versions of its motorcycles and scooters. The list includes new Jupiter Grande with Bluetooth functions, Ntorq 125 Race Edition, Radeon 'Commuter of the Year' celebratory special edition, StaR City+ Special Edition and the Scooty Pep Plus Matte Edition.
