To boost the sales during the high-demand festive season, TVS Motor Company has launched a Dual Tone special edition of the StaR City+. Priced at INR 54,579*, the new variant of the commuter motorcycle comes in a White-Black dual-tone finish.

The new dual-tone paint scheme on the Special Edition TVS StaR City+ is complemented by stylish graphics, a premium dual-tone seat, dual-tone mirrors and coloured shock absorbers. The front fascia includes a white headlight mask with red graphics. A similar theme is also visible on the fuel tank. The side and the rear panel get a black base colour that is enhanced by red and white graphics.
Key features of the StaR City+ range include Automatic Headlight On (AHO), honeycomb textured side panel grills, stainless-steel muffler and black coloured aluminium grab rail. The bike retains the semi-digital instrument console with analogue speedometer and Economy and Power indicator, halogen headlight and conventional blinker setup in the Special Edition.
The commuter segment motorcycle draws 8.4 PS of peak power at 7,000 rpm and 8.7 Nm of max torque from its 109.7 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor. The engine is linked to a four-speed transmission.
Budget-friendly hardware comprises telescopic front fronts and five-step adjustable rear shock absorbers. The 17-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in button type, tubeless tyres. Anchoring duties are performed by a 130 mm drum brake at the front and a 110 mm drum unit at the back.
Meanwhile, TVS Motor Company is working on its BS-VI range of motorcycles. The new motorcycles that comply with the upcoming emission norms are likely to arrive post-October 2019. The new Apache RTR 160 4V and the Apache RTR 200 4V have already revealed themselves through spy photographs and leaked images. The updated Apache 4V duo will come with an updated front fascia that will pack full-LED headlight. Rest of the styling cues will be identical to the existing range.

The BS-VI range will be joined by a new product, the production-spec cruiser motorcycle that will be based on the Zeppelin concept from Auto Expo 2018 reportedly set to debut at Auto Expo 2020.
