While Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles are yet to sign the final agreement, IAB's digital manipulator Shoeb R Kalania has created a rendering of the Triumph Bonneville Street 500, based on claims in the media.

On 23 January, we reported that the final agreement between Bajaj and Triumph had been delayed, and the first product of this partnership will be introduced by early 2021. Rajiv Bajaj, MD - Bajaj Auto Ltd., had hinted that the first bike from the alliance would be a cruiser, while other reports suggested that it will employ a 500cc motor. Based on that, the artist has designed the Bonneville Street 500.

The Triumph Bonneville Street 500 takes design cues from its elder sibling, the Triumph Bonneville Street Twin. The Street 500 will be the entry-level motorcycle in the Bonnie family, and will reportedly be a direct rival to the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Harley Davidson Street 750. A report from November 2017 claimed that the bike would get a 500cc single-cylinder engine.

The Bonneville family styling cues are apparent on the render as the motorcycle features a round headlamp with twin pod instrument cluster, a circular fuel tank, side panel with 'Bonneville' branding, a single-piece quilted seat and the chopped fenders at the front and back. The motorcycle is underpinned by a double cradle chassis that is suspended by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.

The Triumph Bonneville Street 500 rides on wire-spoke wheels that are paired with wide tube-type tyres. Braking force comes from disc brakes at the front and back with standard dual-channel ABS. The Bonneville Street 500 receives comfortable riding ergonomics with the raised handlebar and the centre-set footpegs. We can expect the production version to feature LED lights and digital instrument cluster.
