IAB’s automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania creates a rendering of an adventure-styled Suzuki Ertiga/Maruti Ertiga variant.
The Maruti Ertiga Cross features a differently-styled front bumper with grey garnish designed to give the look of a skid plate, black body cladding on the corners at the front and throughout the sides, black ORVMs, A-pillars and roof, unique alloy wheels and grey roof rails. Maruti could increase the ground clearance for a slightly better capability of tackling rough roads.
The Ertiga Cross will likely come with the same engines as the next-gen Maruti Ertiga. The regular variant is expected to arrive with the K15B 1.5L VVT petrol engine and a new 1.5L diesel engine developed by Suzuki. The K15B petrol engine produces 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm in the Indonesian-spec Suzuki Ertiga. It is available with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions.
