The second-gen Suzuki Ertiga (second-gen Maruti Ertiga) had its world debut at IIMS 2018 this month. Here’s a visual comparison between the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga (2018 Maruti Ertiga) and the 2015 Suzuki Ertiga (2015 Maruti Ertiga).
Underpinned by the Heartect platform, the all-new Suzuki Ertiga features an aggressive and more elegant design and is larger than its predecessor. Compared to the first generation, the second generation model is 130 mm longer, 40 mm wider and 5 mm lower. Both have the same wheelbase, though - 2,740 mm. Suzuki has lowered the ground clearance by 5 mm to 180 mm. The maximum luggage capacity is up from 735 litres to 803 litres (+68 litres).
The old Suzuki Ertiga engine options include the K14B 1.4L VVT petrol unit (92 PS/130 Nm) and the D13A 1.3L DDiS diesel unit (89 PS/200 Nm). The all-new Ertiga employs the K15B 1.5L VVT petrol engine that develops 104.7 PS and 138 Nm of torque. The transmission choices are the same - 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.

Projector headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, keyless entry, engine start-stop button, wood interior trim, 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone and Bluetooth connection, dual power outlets, ventilated cupholders and ESP are some of the key features of the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga. The redesigned model is said to go on sale in Indonesia on 12 May.
