Debut at NAIAS 2016.
Mercedes-Benz's highy anticipated Mercedes E Class (W213) has been spotted testing with minimal cammouflage, courtesy of WalkoART. It will reportedly debut at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS 2016), and arrive in European showrooms in the middle of 2016.

As seen in the spyshot, the 2017 Mercedes E Class will lose the sharp and angular styling of the current model for a curvaceous approach with less sculpted features. It combines the design cues of the Mercedes C Class and Mercedes S Class into one mid-size package.
The report on Mercedes Passion Blog states that the 2017 Mercedes E Class is 55 mm longer than the outgoing model, but has shorter overhangs to accommodate the stretched wheelbase.
Inside, the W213 E-Class could draw design influence from the recently unveiled Mercedes IAA concept. It could adopt a dual set of 12.3 inch COMAND infotainment display integrated into the dashboard (akin to the S-Class), and have a much lower button count, better interior trim and leather upholstery, more interior space and a top-spec Burmester audio system. Like the facelifted A Class, the new E Class will also support Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink Android connectivity.
The new E Class will be as feature packed as the current Mercedes S Class. It will debut Mercedes' Remote Parking Pilot that enables the car to self-park in a given area, a “Car-to-X” communication system, as well feature Active Brake Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, PRE-SAFE Plus, beltbag (airbag in the belt), and Attention Assist.
Lower variants of the 2017 Mercedes E-Class will pack a new generation of four-cylinder diesel engines (codename - OM654) alongside existing four-cylinder petrol engines, while higher variants will, reportedly, offer an all new range of inline six-cylinder turbo engines. According to the report, the new generation diesel engines will emit less than 100 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
The 2017 Mercedes E Class is expected to debut in mid-to-late 2016. The initial lot of cars will be brought to India via the CBU route, followed by local assembly in Chakan, Pune.
