Expected to launch in a few months.
India is soon set to gain 2017 editions of the KTM RC200 and KTM RC390. Both the bikes gain a new paint scheme while the latter gains ride by wire and a new canister exhaust, reveals a brochure leak posted by Motoroids.
The KTM RC390 uses the same 373.3 cc single cylinder liquid cooled, fuel injected mill. Coupled to a 6 speed gearbox the engine is capable of producing 43.5 PS of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 36 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm (up from 35 Nm).
The 2017 KTM RC390 gains a new exhaust system with a stainless steel underfloor pre-silencer and a rear aluminium absorption silencer containing the catalytic converter. The bike also gains a bigger 320 mm front disc and tips the scales at 170 kg (up by 4 kg). Switchable ABS remains as standard.
The KTM RC200, on the other hand, continues with an underbelly exhaust unit. The 199.5 cc mill is capable of producing 25 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. The pillion seat gets 12 mm of extra padding. The 2017 KTM RC200 also gains a new white and orange paint scheme. ABS continues to be absent even as an option.
Expect the 2017 KTM RC390 and 2017 KTM RC200 to launch in India within months.
