Will reportedly be launched in March 2017.
The new generation Chevrolet Beat range that was teased in June 2016 will be launched in India this year. Weeks ahead of its reported launch in March 2017, the Chevrolet Beat Essentia has been spied in India yet again, courtesy IndianCarsBikes.
Buoyed by the success of the sub-4 metre sedans in India, better late than never, Chevrolet is finally set to launch a product of its own in the class - the Chevrolet Beat Essentia. Introduced as a near-production concept at Auto Expo 2016, the Chevrolet Beat Essentia will be based on the Indian-spec new generation Chevrolet Beat hatchback, which is a thoroughly revised version of the global third-gen Chevrolet Spark sold as the Chevrolet Beat in India since 2010.
The Chevrolet Beat Essentia will be offered with features like MyLink2 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility, driver information display inside the instrument panel, rearview camera, ABS and dual airbags.
The Chevrolet Beat Essentia will likely come with a sub-1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.0-litre three-cylinder diesel engine; both shared with the next-gen Chevrolet Beat. A 5-speed manual transmission should be standard. The sub-compact sedan will be built in Talegaon, Maharashtra.
