First sub-4m sedan from Chevrolet.
Last week, GM India revealed the 2017 Chevrolet Beat hatchback, which has spawned two new products: the Chevrolet Beat Activ and Chevrolet Essentia. The latter is Chevrolet's first sub-4m sedan in the Indian market, and is expected to launch later this year or early next year.
IAB's Shoeb R Kalania has rendered the Essentia in all exterior colors of the current Beat, which the new Beat family is based on. It retains the older M300 platform, thus bearing no mechanical relation to the international 2016 Chevrolet Spark. As for styling, it does borrow some cues from its international sibling for the front fascia, while the rear-end does seem to draw inspiration from the Chevrolet Sail sedan.
Inside, all three Beats will share a dual-tone dashboard housing a 7-inch MyLink infotainment system. The styling was previewed by the Beat Activ Concept, complete with the the bike-inspired instrument cluster seen in the current model as well.
