Its possible the production version was already seen in undisguised spyshots captured at the company’s Haojue Changzhou factory in China in December last year. The same month, it was reported that Suzuki will unveil the new quarter-litre motorcycle at Auto Expo 2016 in February, however that was not the case.

Earlier this year, Mr. Suresh Babu Janarthan, Project Leader for CBU Products at Suzuki Motorcycle India, reportedly said that the company will launch such a product in India "when the time is right". Its close rival, the Honda CBR250RR is also a no-go as of now.
