Showcased at Auto Expo 2016.
Hero Motocorp has confirmed that the launch of the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 will take place on July 14. The bike made its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo and it is the first bike to be fully developed by the country's largest motorcycle manufacturer from the ground-up.
The motorcycle uses a 110 cc single-cylinder, air cooled engine that makes 9.1 PS (8.97 hp) of power at 7,500 rpm. Peak torque stands at 9 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Like the 97 cc iSmart system equipped engine found in the standard Hero Splendor, the new bike also makes use of a 4-speed gearbox. The iSmart system in the bike gives it a start/stop system that typically shuts the engine off when it idles and is immediately started once the rider engages the clutch. This, the company claims, improves the fuel efficiency.

The bike displayed at the 2016 Auto Expo and one seen in dealerships sports a telescopic suspension at both ends and is equipped with drum brakes on both wheels. Both the front and the rear tyres are mounted on 5-spoke all-black alloy wheels.
