Dimensions to remain pretty much the same.
The 2016 Toyota Fortuner has started testing in Thailand and Brazil already and here is a speculative rendering of the all new SUV by our in-house design expert Shoeb Kalania.
The image which is based on previous spyshots portray the next gen SUV's interesting greenhouse design with a kink on the rear door and a new rear quarter glass panel. The wraparound rear windscreen of the existing model stays.
The rear combination lamps are also completely redesigned to have a sportier appeal. The sheet metal would sport stronger crease lines and of course, the front fascia will be revamped. The interior too is expected to undergo comprehensive changes.
Under the skin, the new Fortuner benefits from a new ladder frame chassis which would be lighter and stiffer than the outgoing version and should make for better off-roadability. The car is also reported to receive new petrol and diesel engines.
