To launch in India in the Q1 2016.
The new Skoda Superb was spotted testing by Auto Column in Mumbai. It's expected to launch in Q1 2016, although it won't make its debut at the Auto Expo 2016 as Skoda has decided to not participate in the biennial exhibition.
The model spotted is the top-end L&K edition of the Skoda Superb, which comes with better interior equipment and exterior features. Few of standard features equipped are heated seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive dampers with 3 driving modes, power-adjustable front seat with memory and lumbar support, triple-zone climate control, 8-inch Smartlink infotainment system, and a CANTON audio system.
As seen in at its world debut in Geneva last year, the new Superb is influenced by the company's latest design language, characterized by angular lines and a strong shoulder line. Based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform, the Skoda Superb shares 50% of its internals with the 2015 VW Passat (B8). It is 75 kg lighter than its predecessor, despite growing 80 mm in wheelbase, 47 mm in width and 28 mm in overall length.

The third-generation Superb is expected to offer the same powertrain options as the outgoing model, albeit slightly revised for better fuel mileage or performance. The lineup could include a 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine with 180 PS and 250 Nm, as well as a 2.0-litre TDI motor with 190 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Both are paired to a DSG automatic gearbox.
