Inspired by the GR-HEV concept from the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
Based on leaked patent images, CarScoops has rendered the forthcoming 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, which according to reports will be revealed in Thailand towards the end of this year.
Similar to the re-designed Outlander, the 2016 Pajero Sport too gets the "Dynamic Shield" X-shaped front fascia. Overall, the design of the new Pajero Sport is inspired by the GR-HEV concept which was shown at the 2013 edition of the Geneva Motor Show.
Based on the same ladder-frame platform as the new Mitsubishi Triton (Mitsubishi L200) pickup, the new Pajero Sport is expected to get the redesigned 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, the relatively high-set center console with automatic climate control and a spacious rear bench capable of accommodating three adults with relative ease.
The 2016 Pajero Sport will also benefit from the new 2.4-liter MIVEC four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, developing 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque on the pickup.
