Retains the dashboard and MZD display.
Autohome has posted the first spyshots of the Mazda 3 facelift. The updated model appears to get a new front-end design and the electronic parking brake feature.
The exterior of the 2016 Mazda 3 looks different from the current model courtesy of the new bumper, mild revision to headlamps and grille section, and new fog lamp enclosures. The interior is largely familiar as the dashboard with the MZD Connect display screen is retained as well as the three-pod instrument cluster. There are some changes like the steering wheel which features thinner bottom spokes.
The centre console on the 2016 Mazda 3 may get a revised dual zone climate control switchgear that would resemble the system on the Mazda 6 and the China-spec Mazda 3. Beneath it, there are a few significant changes like the parking brake handle vacating to give room for an electronic parking brake as seen on the Mazda CX-5, and the Commander Control unit and gear selector moving closer to the centre console.

The result is additional storage space coming from a new compartment that has a sliding lid, on the tunnel. The armrest/storage box has also been redesigned, for the same purpose.
