Might feature a dual-clutch transmission.
Here are fresh spyshots of the next generation 2016 Hyundai ix35 (2016 Hyundai Tucson) which go on sale starting this year. Snapped undergoing tests in South Korea, these images give a partial look at the exterior and interior of the SUV.
The design of the rear is typical of a Hyundai with the Fluidic Design v2.0 influencing the taillights and windows. Inside too, the cabin is standard Hyundai affair, though it now seems better executed than the outgoing model.
The third generation ix35 will reportedly get a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine matched to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. At the Paris Motor Show last year, the car maker indeed showcased a 7-speed DCT, and a turbocharged three-cylinder Kappa engine.

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) was selling the previous generation (first generation) of the Tucson in India, but replaced it with the Santa Fe. Last year, HMIL introduced the new Santa Fe in India, and a launch of the ix35 is unlikely to happen for now as all eyes will be on the smaller ix25.
