The 2015 GTI is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Ahead of a launch in China expected in the first half of this year, the 2015 VW Polo GTI was spotted without a hint of camouflage. The Polo GTI facelift made its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show in October 2014.
The GTI uses a 1.8-liter four-cylinder TSI engine to belt out 192 PS and 320 Nm of torque. Compared to the previous model, the 2015 GTI puts out an extra 12 PS. The transmission is handled by a 7-speed DSG, or a 6-speed manual, propelling the Polo GTI from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and onwards to a top-speed of 236 km/h.
Currently, VW India sells the Polo GT TSI and Polo GT TDI, badged as performance-oriented versions of the hatchback. The GT TSI uses a 1.2-liter TSI engine to produce 105 PS, whereas the GT TDI makes the same amount of power from its 1.5-liter TDI engine.

However, according to a recent report, VW India is considering bringing more such performance-oriented versions of the Polo, like the GT (with a 1.4-liter TSI engine) and the GTI. These variants of the Polo may not seriously improve sales performance, but will serve as brand shaping tools nevertheless.
