The next generation 2015 Hyundai i20 has been spotted undergoing tests in India and Europe. Hyundai is reported to unveil the new i20 in October this year at the Paris Motor Show.
This rendering, created by our artist Shoeb, presents an accurate look at the rear of the new hatchback. The digital image you see here is based on spyshots revealing the taillight and boot design of the car. We can't help but compare the rear of the new i20 to that of the Honda Vezel crossover given their strikingly similar taillights.
A spyshot showing the interior of the new i20 reveals that the hatchback will continue to be a feature-loaded car as the current model. Presumably, the new i20 will pack the same level of features as the current model but with better build quality.
Under the hood, Hyundai may choose to carry over the existing 1.2-liter Kappa2, 1.4-liter petrol (available only with an automatic transmission) and 1.4-liter diesel engines. Competition for the new i20 will come in the form of the Maruti Swift, VW Polo and Fiat Punto (these cars are scheduled to get facelifts this year) and the next generation Tata Bolt and Honda Jazz.
