The video, shot in New York, shows the American version of the hatchback (which is called 'Fit' in the U.S.A.). In the American market, Honda sells the Jazz with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine with 130 PS on tap. For the Indian market though, the Jazz will be powered by a 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol engine (which makes 88 PS on the Brio and Amaze) or a 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine (good for 100 PS on the City).
The Jazz for India will be paired to manual transmissions on the petrol and diesel variants, but the former would also get a CVT automatic with paddle shifters. Other features, revealed in spyshots and past teasers, include a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and navigation, steering mounted controls, touch-intuitive system for the automatic climate control system, alloy wheels and foglights.
As reported earlier, the Honda Cars India will manufacture the new Jazz at its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan with an estimated localization level of 90 percent.
