Will be made at the Rajasthan plant.
According to a report on the ET Auto, Honda Cars India will launch the new Jazz on July 8. The car maker confirmed on its social media channel yesterday that it will launch the new hatchback in the month of July, but a specific date was not announced.
The newspaper says in its report that Honda has already started adjusting its production schedule to cater to the Jazz. The Tapukara, Rajasthan, plant will be responsible for manufacturing the Elite i20 rival, with localization level expected to touch 90 percent.
The new Honda Jazz will come with a petrol and diesel engine, the latter being the 1.5-liter i-DTEC unit seen on the Amaze, City and Mobilio. The Jazz will inherit its petrol engine, a 1.2-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC, from the Brio and Amaze, but will get a CVT gearbox in addition to a 5-speed manual transmission.
