Expected to be launched this year.
The 2015 Hero Hunk (facelift) has been snapped at a dealership before its market debut this year.
The updated version of the Hunk gets a revised headlamp assembly, revamped instrument cluster, new body graphics, a 'Hero' badging on the handlebar clamp, and a side stand indicator in the instrument pod. The bike also gets a new 'Hero' lettering that is embossed on the crankcase.
The outgoing Hero Hunk is powered by a 149.2 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, that produces 14.4 PS at 8,500 rpm and 12.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the motorcycle is capable of a 0-60 km/h sprint in 5 seconds. The 2015 Hero Hunk could feature the revised version of the same engine introduced on the new Hero Xtreme Sport where it produces 15.6 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 13.50 Nm at 7,000 rpm.
The new Hero Hunk will compete with the likes of the Honda CB Hornet 160R, Suzuki Gixxer and the Yamaha FZ-S v2.0. The price of the new Hunk could be increased by INR 3,000-5,000.
