Could launch during the festival season.
Hero MotorCorp is expected to launch the 2016 Hero Hunk later this year. The bike has been caught completely undisguised by Gaadiwaadi.
By the looks of it, the exterior has received very minor changes. Everything remains the same with a few exceptions such as a bigger fairing, front mudguard and a Hero badge on the handlebars. The front and rear suspension have been inverted and the golden colour has given way to a black.
Body parts that were previously red in colour have been painted black like the damper springs and spark plug cover. The crankcase has now been embossed with the Hero badge in red while the 'ATFT' lettering on the fuse box seems to have been carried over from the current model.
The instrument cluster has been revised and gets a central analog tachometer and fuel gauge. The speedometer is a digital unit; the entire readout area has been outlined by a shiny strip of chrome.
The picture shows test equipment strapped on to the fuel tank and it is likely that the company is evaluating the performance of the current 149 cc engine that is reported to produce 15 bhp and 13 Nm of torque. Power will be relayed through the same 5-speed gearbox, while the kerb weight of 145 kg will also remain the same, it is reported.
