Honda launched the new Jazz in markets like Indonesia, New Zealand and Philippines recently. Seen here are images of the Indonesian-spec Jazz from its launch.
The Jazz went on sale in Indonesia in three trim levels - Type A, Type S and Type RS. All variants are powered by the new City's 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine putting out 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque. The drive is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic. The CVT is an option on the S and RS variants, while its not offered on the Type A.
Irrespective of the trim, driver and front passenger airbags are standard on the new Jazz. The top-end RS, apart from getting a sporty body kit, also receives features like cruise control, engine starter button, 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and leather wrapped steering and gearlever.
The Jazz in Indonesia is priced between 199 million IDR to 248 million IDR (INR 9.96 lakhs to INR 12.31 lakhs).
In India, the Jazz will go on sale this financial year, most probably in the early period of the next calendar year. Honda would employ their 1.2-liter petrol engine and 1.5-liter diesel engine for the hatchback in India.
