Seen here is the interior of the 2014 Mahindra Scorpio facelift which has been on test for over a year now. Mahindra has redone the entire dashboard which looks more at home for a INR 10 lakh rupee car.
The steering wheel which is borrowed from the more expensive XUV500 gets integrated controls for the music system and cruise control presumably. In front of the wheel is a brand new instrument cluster with new dials and a new multifunction display.
Moving towards the co-driver, Mahindra has positioned a larger center console with rectangular air vents (the current model has circular vents) and a 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system with an integrated reverse camera and navigation.
The front power window buttons are now positioned on the doors rather than near the handbrake lever of the current model. Mahindra will also extend automatic climate control to the Scorpio facelift.
Apart from interior changes, the Scorpio facelift will get a new front fascia and new LED taillights. Mechanical upgrades would come in the form of better suspension and an improved NVH package. The 2.2-liter diesel engine will continue to be seen, but will be paired to a revised gearbox.
The Scorpio facelift will launch in the festive season (September - November) this year.
