Yamaha X-Ride at present utilises an 113.7 cc fuel injected mill.
The Yamaha X-Ride is set to get an upgrade this year with a new 125 cc mill. TMC Blog reveals that the automatic scooter, codenamed Yamaha BY8, could have a price tag of IDR 12 million.
To keep costs under check, the new Yamaha X-Ride 125 is expected to retain the halogen headlamp and analogue instrument cluster. The edgy design language is expected to be retained with only minor changes. The scooter is also expected to bear new graphics.

Brakes in the new Yamaha X-Ride 125 too can be expected to be the same disc up front and a drum setup in the rear. The present generation 113.7 cc air-cooled, SOHC mill is capable of producing 7.75 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 8.5 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. The 125 cc version, which will adopt the 'Blue Core' technology, will certainly have a higher output.

The Yamaha X-Ride, at present, tips the scales at 98 kg and has a 4.8-litre fuel tank. The seat height measures 780 mm while the ground clearance stands at 152 mm.
The Yamaha X-Ride 125 is expected to be launched in June-July 2017.
